small teak products

Trials have been undertaken to process wood from logs taken from 5 year old first thinnings. While sawn lumber is mostly sapwood and is not suitable for construction purposes, it has proven suitable for joinery end indoor use.
The wood has an attractive contrast between the light sapwood and the dark heartwood and especially in products turned on the lathe.

Products are on display at the Savulu Office in Ra.

timber milling and trading

In September 2013, milling commenced of old growth introduced species of Teak, Mahogany, Dakua (Kaurie) and Kwila (Vesi).

Fiji has a moratorium restricting the export of round logs. As a result the logs are milled to client specifications on receipt of deposit. The client is invited to inspect the logs prior to milling. We supply:

  • single slabs up to 5 metres (16.5 feet)
  • milled lumber
  • turning blanks
  • large timber burls (depending on stock)

Both large and small orders can be supplied, however the freight charges may affect final price of individual orders.
Samples may be requested.
